Global Business Intelligence Consultant – Manufacturing

We are seeking a talented and motivated Global Business Intelligence Consultant to join our Data & AI team at BioMar. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting our organization on its data-driven journey and work with stakeholders across the company to identify key business questions and design and develop BI solutions that enable self-service reporting and visualization.

 

THE TEAM

The Data & AI team is a global unit supporting BioMar’s 17 different sites worldwide. As the new BI Consultant, you will be based at the HQ in Aarhus, collaborating with 10 colleagues from the Data & AI team in Denmark, Spain, and Norway.
 
The team’s responsibilities lie within Business Intelligence, Master Data Management and AI. The work is based on an agile set-up, and you will become part of an ambitious and professional group of colleagues with a warm, patient, and welcoming team spirit.
 

THE POSITION

In this role, you’ll optimize our newly established data and BI reporting platform; BioMetrics – A Global Azure Business Intelligence Enterprise solution. You will take lead on the business area of manufacturing and be the primary responsible for strengthening the business area with improved and value creating data and reporting solutions.

Your focus will be on manufacturing projects and development tasks, with some involvement in operations and support. With substantial responsibility and the ability to influence direction, this role promotes a proactive mindset, actively involved in decision-making and assertively presenting its perspective.

Additionally, you’ll contribute to pilot projects in production, and furthermore you will be at the forefront of industry trends, tools, and techniques.
You will have the opportunity to shape your role by expressing a preference for either frontend or backend tasks.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and analyzing trends, developing reports, and building data models for strategic decision-making primarily for the manufacturing business area in BioMar.
• Working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable insights.
• Contributing as a BI developer on selected BI projects in collaboration with business representatives and BI colleagues.
• Engaging with BioMar’s Global Data Analyst community, leading and inspiring others on unleashing the potential in data with tools like Tableau and data analysis in general.
• Teaching and supporting BioMar’s data analysts and end users in using BioMar’s global reports and reporting tools.
• Working with cutting-edge BI tools and technologies (e.g., Tableau and Microsoft Azure SQL DB).

 

YOUR PROFILE

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in business intelligence, data analysis, and project management/coordination. You should be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders from different cultures and backgrounds and have a passion for delivering exceptional results.
More formally, we expect that you:
• Have 3+ years of experience from a similar role.
• Experience with SQL and Tableau/Power BI and Azure.
• Relevant experience from a global or central BI department supporting diverse business units.
• Experience working within the areas of manufacturing and sustainability.
• Hold an academic degree within IT, computer science, or similar.
• Master English fluently (Danish is not a necessity).
