Data Programme Manager

 

Are you an experienced programme manager passionate about driving strategic value through data? Do you have expertise in managing data and IT projects while balancing strategy, leadership, and implementation? If so, you might be the Data Programme Manager we are looking for.

 

As the Programme Manager, you will lead the overall planning, scope, and resource management for the programme. Key tasks include facilitating Steering Committee meetings, providing regular status updates, and driving communication and change management initiatives to ensure strong stakeholder engagement throughout the process.

 

Your responsibilities will also involve overseeing the design and implementation of the data platform and architecture, ensuring it supports both business needs and IT requirements. This includes setting data governance standards for quality, privacy, and compliance, promoting data literacy across the organization, and managing data integration for consistency and reliability. Additionally, you will handle the full data lifecycle from creation to archiving, enabling robust data analytics capabilities.

 

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and integrating multiple projects to ensure deliverables align with our overall strategy and objectives. You will play a key role in implementing strategic goals while managing timelines, budgets, and resources. The position requires experience in implementing data/IT projects, such as BI & analytics, data platforms, integration, and master data management, as well as effective stakeholder communication.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and executing the Data Programme, ensuring that project deliverables align with the overall strategy and objectives, and that the programme is delivered within the agreed timeline and budget.
  • Identifying and prioritizing opportunities for data and reporting usage to drive business value.
  • Managing business stakeholder expectations and needs.
  • Ensuring alignment between projects within the programme.
  • Securing resource availability for each project.
  • Managing scope and budget while achieving programme objectives.
  • Communicating with stakeholders and managing reference groups.
  • Adapting to changes and collaborating with the Steering Group to meet objectives.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading Data/IT programmes and projects, with hands-on experience in implementing various data/IT initiatives. Key qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing projects such as BI & analytics, data platforms, integration, and master data management – or implementing other business facing IT solutions
  • Ability to ensure effective information flow between stakeholders and team members, facilitating alignment and collaboration.
  • Proven capacity to make well-informed decisions swiftly, maintaining programme momentum and addressing challenges effectively.
  • Experience in leading, motivating, and developing team members to drive engagement and effective collaboration.
  • Adept at managing business stakeholder expectations and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Experience in developing and managing business cases or value cases to support programme objectives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
