Software Developer for Danløn at Paychex Europe

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Software Developer to join our Danløn development scrum-team. Danløn is one of the leading providers of payroll systems in Denmark. Danløn is part of Paychex Europe.

Responsibilities with impact

We think the role offers great opportunities for impact and professional growth. Your key responsibilities are to:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for software projects. Understand user needs and translate them into technical specifications and design documents
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. Identify and fix defects and bugs in a timely manner. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to coding standards Lead implementation of software solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and API documentation. Ensure documentation is comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date to facilitate understanding and maintenance of software applications
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to ensure successful project delivery. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and resolve issues
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization.
  • Optimize performance and scalability of software applications through performance profiling, benchmarking, and implementation of performance tuning strategies.
  • Implement security best practices to protect against vulnerabilities and security threats.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing within the team through code reviews, tech talks, and collaborative learning sessions. Being mentor and coach for junior developers and newly hired Software developers, fostering their professional growth and technical skill development

 

Your profile

To succeed in this role, we believe it is important that you recognize yourself in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with programming in various domains.
  • 3+ years proven track record delivering successful applications.
  • Strong programming skills in one of more languages.
  • Experience with SW development methodologies such as Agile or/and SCRUM.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of SW design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, microservices architecture and DevOps practices
  • Experience with test and write test scripts for regression/automation test

 

In addition to technical expertise, excellent collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills in English and Danish are essential for success in this position.

 

Technologies

You are expected to have experience with a variety of technologies, with the following prioritized order of preference: Java, SQL, Spring, Hibernate/JPA, Spring MVC, Thymeleaf, HTML, CSS, Git, Linux, Tomcat, JUnit, IntelliJ, DB2, Docker, Jenkins, and JavaScript/jQuery.
