Do you want to develop software that contributes to the green transition? Are you driven by technology and passionate about working with cloud solutions, databases, and scalable architecture? If so, we have an exciting opportunity at EnergiData, where you’ll play a key role in both technical decisions and the future development of our platform.
We help businesses and public organizations reduce energy waste and costs through data. Our EMS platform, MinEnergi2, monitors energy consumption in more than 12,500 properties, providing users with insights that drive tangible savings and support sustainable initiatives.
Join a Strong Development Team
You will be part of a development team of five skilled engineers who work closely together to create innovative and scalable data solutions that help our customers optimize their energy consumption.
We are looking for a back-end developer who is passionate about software development and can contribute to strengthening the team’s technical foundation. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and optimize our SaaS solutions — helping our customers manage complex datasets while ensuring a stable release process. Additionally, you will play a central role in shaping the team’s technical direction and further developing our platform.
We collaborate in a strong professional environment, continuously sharing knowledge and experimenting with new technologies to ensure effective, scalable, and future-proof solutions. We value independence, responsibility, and teamwork, maintaining an informal and direct communication style where everyone actively contributes to creating the best solutions.
Your Primary Responsibilities
As a backend developer at EnergiData, you will play a key role in developing our technical solutions. You will work with software architecture, cloud integration, and API development.
Your tasks will include:
- Developing and optimizing software solutions that make energy management intelligent and efficient
- Integrating databases and cloud solutions
- Developing APIs and open platform solutions to provide flexibility for our customers
- Optimizing ETL processes and data flows for efficient data management, using tools such as AWS Glue, Apache Kafka, or other modern data processing frameworks
- Influencing architecture and technical direction in collaboration with the team
- Version control using Git and CI/CD with GitHub Actions. Azure DevOps is used for project management
Ensuring code quality through best practices is important. While test automation is not the primary focus of this role, contributing to unit and integration testing processes is encouraged.
You will have the opportunity to work with modern technologies in an environment that prioritizes knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement of our solutions.
About You
We are looking for a developer who is passionate about building robust and scalable solutions. You work analytically, thrive in a collaborative environment, and take responsibility for your tasks.
We imagine you have experience in software development within an agile setup and have worked with cloud solutions, primarily AWS and Lambda, as well as databases such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB. Additionally, you have experience with microservices architecture, API development, and open platform solutions.
We expect you to have experience with, or be willing to learn:
- Languages & Frameworks: TypeScript, Python, .NET Core, and/or Node.js
- Databases: MSSQL, PostgreSQL
- Cloud & AWS Technologies: DynamoDB, Lambda
- Microservices Architecture
- Experience with software testing, such as unit testing, integration testing, or test-driven development (TDD), and a willingness to contribute to improving test processes
You are motivated by solving complex technical challenges and have a curious approach to new technologies. In this role, you will aslo maintain and optimize existing systems, including occasional maintenance of legacy VB code in specific projects. However, no new development in VB is required.
